Use the model picker to select an available model for the chosen provider account. A saved Project, conversation, Character or Routine may already specify a choice. Check that choice before starting work that depends on particular capabilities.

A model that can write a report is not automatically the right choice for image creation or local app actions. Check the method and the tools exposed by your connected account.
Keep recurring work predictable
Review the account, model and device placement in a Routine before publishing it. A later change to an account default does not silently replace a published Routine’s reviewed setup.
When availability changes
Return to AI Providers and Devices to inspect the saved connection. Read the message shown for the current work before choosing another model. If work is already running, inspect that run before starting another copy.
