# Choose action and tool permissions

Decide when you want to review an action and which tools a Character may use.

## Use the right control

Agent approvals provides the supported account-level action approval mode. A conversation can have its own supported override. Plugins provides the individual tool choices, including Default, Always allow, Ask and Off where available.

CEO task approvals have their own settings. Permission to use a browser does not automatically grant access to files, business records or every connected tool.


## Review consequential actions

Choose a mode appropriate to the work and your team’s process. Review the account, destination and effect before authorizing an action such as publishing, sending or deleting. A request to draft is different from a request to distribute.


## Understand when a change applies

Changing a default affects subsequent work as supported by the product. It does not rewrite an already admitted turn or a published Routine’s frozen configuration. Review those items through their existing controls.
