# Connect Claude or Codex

Choose the account and model that will do your work, and keep its existing tools and permissions.

## Choose the account you want to use

Open Profile Settings → AI Providers. Follow the connection option shown for Claude or Codex and complete that provider’s sign-in. If you have more than one account, check the account label before choosing it for a conversation.

Models and tools depend on the connected account and the available execution setup. An account being listed does not mean every model or tool is ready for every kind of work.


## Check your setup

1. Confirm that the intended provider account appears in AI Providers.
2. Choose a model that appears for that account. Use the Character or Project’s saved choice when that is the setup you intend.
3. For Desktop work, check Profile Settings → Devices and use the signed-in device that provides the required tools.
4. Open Plugins to confirm that any business tools needed for the task are connected.
5. Ask for one small result and inspect its returned answer and saved output.

## Browser and Desktop

You can use Growthub in your browser. Access to local files, native apps or a Desktop browser depends on an available, permitted Desktop device. Seeing a browser panel does not itself connect your computer.


Good to know: Keep the selected account consistent when continuing work. Do not connect a different account just to recover a slow response.
