# Create and reuse a Character

## What a Character saves

A Character is an agent with a job, instructions and settings. Give it a clear role and a definition of a useful outcome. Bring that expertise into work with the selected account, context and tools.

You can start with a published playbook or use the existing Character creation controls. A template’s method is separate from your own provider account, source permissions and conversation history.


## Prepare a useful specialist

1. Choose a name and a clear job, such as campaign researcher or client report writer.
2. Describe the method, expected output and the review decisions that remain with your team.
3. Select the provider account and an available model suited to the job.
4. Add the relevant Project, Brand Kit, Pages, Knowledge and connected tools.
5. Save, ask for a small result and review the actual output before expanding the work.

## Reuse without starting over

Use the saved Character for another authorized brief. Keep each client’s sources and destination explicit. A new conversation can reuse the method while retaining its own task history.


Example request:

Act as our campaign researcher. Read the selected sources, identify three supported insights and save a short brief with source links. Flag uncertain claims for review rather than treating them as facts.
